  • Official Artist for 2010 25th Anniversary of AT&T Pebble Beach National Golf Pro-Am
  • Published in COVER STORIES:  Tournament Program Cover Art
  • First female to be invited to create the artwork in the company of 4X cover artists Hank Ketcham, Charles Schultz, Leroy Neiman

Suzanne is the eldest daughter of Richard “Dick” Yost.  Her dad was a highly ranked Amateur golfer in 50's-70's: 1955 Walker Cup Team Member, '57 Master's Player, US Amateur,  & invited numerous times by Bing Crosby to play in the Pebble Beach Pro AM “Clam Bake”, now the AT&T Pebble Beach National Golf PRO-AM.

In the 50-60's golf Dick Yost's golf pals included Ken Venturi, Harvie Ward(1955 Walker Cup Team Member) , Bob Roos (Roos Bros SF Atelier). Dick played with golf greats Ben Hogan & Byron Nelson.

Dick Yost & Hank Ketcham, creator of Dennis The Menace, became friends @ The Crosby's. It is with great irony & honor that Suzanne & Hank ended up in the same art class together 30 years later painting side by side. Suzanne was well versed in watercolors, Hank in cartoons, and over time Hank sent sketches to Suzanne offering positive feedback for what would become Suzanne’s highly successful “Guitar Man” series! Since Suzanne owns Surf City Coffee Co. Inc, she reciprocated to Hank, with coffee beans, and pen pals ensued.

In a twist of fate, Suzanne found a red box of golf memorabilia in the family home, as she searched for pics of her dad to paint. This RED BOX would become another career juncture as her ancestry intersected with her own art experience and path she continues today.

Her GUITAR MAN, SAXY GUY, series had been well received by gallery & collectors.  She strived to find her own voice through painterly movement to express emotion.  This personal path continues today as her golfers connect her to a family legacy she knew little about.

Suzanne won 1st place in an All-State drawing contest for drawing her cat drinking milk, sponsored by Mayflower Milk & Oregon Dairy Farmer’s Association.
